  • Before starting the scanning process on your printer, make sure to install the printer driver on your computer. Also, confirm that you have installed the required scanner driver.
  • Ensure to turn on your printer and connect it to your computer or network.
  • Now, lift the scanner lid and load the document with the print side down on the scanner glass.

  • Scan to Computer (Email): Select this option if you wish to attach your scanned file to your email program. If necessary, choose the email service you want to use and resize the image on your computer.
  • Scan to Computer (WSD): Pick this option if you want to manage the wireless scanning on your Windows computer. First, you need to complete the WSD setup on the computer you are going to use for the scan.
  • After selecting the scan option, choose how you have connected your Epson XP-440 printer and computer.
  • Select the USB Connection option if you have connected your machine using a USB cable.
  • Otherwise, choose your computer name from the list if you have connected over a network.
  • Finally, press the Start button on your printer’s control panel to start scanning.

  • Select the Folder field and choose the location to save the document you are scanning.
  • Finally, click the Scan button at the bottom of the window.
