- First, check the USB connection between your printer and the Windows computer.
- Always use a standard USB cable to connect your printer to the computer.
- If necessary, remove and reconnect the USB cable.
- Sometimes a faulty USB port may cause scanning issues. In case your USB port is not working well, connect the cable to another USB port.
- Next, ensure that you have placed the original document properly on the scanner glass.
- Go to your computer and check the scan settings in the Home Center software. To do so, launch the Home Center software and select Scan Pictures and Documents.
- Click the Tool icon and ensure that you have selected the correct scan settings.
- To scan your document again, click the Scan Pictures and Documents tab and follow the on-screen instructions.
- You can also preview the scanned document before saving it.
- If your Kodak ESP 3250 shows the ‘Scan to computer failed’ message again, remove the TWAIN driver from your computer and reinstall it.
