- On your Windows computer, close all the running programs and ensure that you have a stable Internet connection.
- Insert the Scanner Library CD-ROM, that you received along with the scanner during the first-time purchase, into your computer’s CD/DVD drive.
- Open Windows Explorer or My Computer and double-click the setup.exe file to run the Scanner Library.
- If your computer doesn’t support the CD-ROM, download the Scanner File Utility for your Kyocera printer from the official Kyocera site.
- Open the downloaded file and run the Scanner Library.
- If the device prompts for User Account Control, click the Yes button.
- On the License Agreement page, click the right arrow button to accept the EULA.
- Under Main Menu, select the Scanner Utilities option.
- Choose your desired language from the pull-down menu and click OK.
- Click Next and select Browse on the Choose Destination Location screen.
- Select your desired installation folder and click OK.
- Click Next and select the Install a desktop mode option.
- Choose the installation components and click the Next button.
- Once the installation is completed, click Finish.
